This Week's Guest Speaker - Sam Brish
Dr. Samantha Brish, DC,MS, aka "Dr. Sam" to her patients at Element Chiropractic & Wellness, will be telling us her Rotary story. One of her favorite quotes:
"The best time to start getting healthy was yesterday. The next best time is now."
Dr. Sam is a Brighton native who recently completed her Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters in Sport Science & Rehabilitation degrees at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to that she completed her Bachelor of Science in Movement Science at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Sam lives a very active lifestyle. She is an avid marathon runner, triathlete and weight lifter who has a passion for helping active individuals of all ages. She truly believes in leading a chiropractic lifestyle that includes focus on both physical and emotional health.

She has a passion for movement and nutrition because she knows that health is not just about how you feel, but is about how you’re able to move and function on a daily basis. She has a unique skill set that includes various treatment options that will surely suit anyone’s needs.

Dr. Sam’s goal is to bring holistic healing to the people of her community and to help them live their best, most fulfilling lives. If you have activity goals, health goals or simply want to live better, Dr. Sam wants to help you!

Getting to Know You -- Bobbie Terry

Meet soon-to-be newly inducted member Bobbie Terry !
(Pattie Courtney will induct her on Aug. 21 when she gets back from a trip to New York to see her grandbabies and help her daughter pack up to move to Littleton, Colo.)

Where are you from? St. George, Utah (The second fastest growing community in the nation.)
Where have you volunteered or what are you favorite charities? Gleaners, Reaching Higher, Midnight in the Tropics
Where did you go to school? College? Degrees? Virginia Farrell Cosmetology Degree (hair dresser)
What are your passions? What do you get excited about? I get excited about health and wellness, I love helping people see how beautiful they are. I've overcome chronic illness from Lyme disease and want to share my journey to wellness. I am passionate about children and human trafficking. I want to get more involved in this area. I love all things Moon and planet related. interested in astrology and all of the Zodiac signs.
Personal life:  spouse, siblings, children, hobbies, pets? Husband is Chris Terry and I have 3 children. The oldest is 22, Quentin, who is my nephew. I raised him from 10 years on, he was involved in Reaching Higher as a high school student. I love him as my own. I have an 8-year-old daughter named Scotlyn. She is kind and loving and very sweet. We also have a 6-year-old son named Christian. He is all boy. Full of energy and very much believed to be a lawyer or engineer, when he grows up. We also have an English Bull Dog named Sunshine, but we call her Sunny ️ for short.
                                                                                                                              ☀
What is one of your super-talents? I'm a Mom!
What’s your favorite book? Why? Becoming Supernatural by Dr.Joe Dispenza, because it saved my life--literally.
What gets you really angry? Child abuse; sexual abuse on children.
What is one thing that most people don’t know about you? I'm a manifester of most things in my life. I think about things I want in life and they usually happen. I have become very good at this.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? To not put a timeline on my hopes and wishes. To trust the process.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve given someone else? I wish i knew!?
What did you have for breakfast this morning? A smoothie. It had fresh greens, wild blueberries, coconut milk, protein powder, frozen banana.
If you suddenly won a million dollars and did not have to work, what would you do with all your free time? I would take classes on astrology. donate to charity.
What was the worst job you ever had? Ironically it was in a greenhouse. I love plants now but I worked in a greenhouse at 16 years old for only one day. Too humid and uncomfortable. Hated it and never went back.
What’s your favorite type of music, artist or band? Counting Crows a rock band.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Teacher
What book, movie read/seen recently you would recommend and why? The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes, or The documentary Heal [which you can watch on Netflix].
Dogs or Cats? Why? Both--'cause they are sweet.
What was your favorite game to play as a child? Rummikub, an original game, similar to Gin Rummy, played with numbered tiles, available at Target.
What’s one career you wish you could have pursued? Marketing
Do you have a favorite plant? (If you could be a tree, what kind of tree would you be?) My favorite plant is a spider plant, [also available at Target or any plant store] 'cause they make cute babies. If I were to be a tree, I would be a weeping willow tree.
