Rotary 4-way Test & Values
Quick! Recite the Rotary Club Four-Way Test.
Of the things we THINK, say, do or Tweet, Number One...

If you're like me, and a relatively new member, you may have a hard time remembering all the correct words without the help of our banner at our regular meeting. Here's a tip.

On page 8 of your May issue of The Rotarian magazine, is a nice list of all things important to us, including The Objective of Rotary and our Rotarian Code of Conduct. Clip it out and put it above your computer screen as you ZOOM in on meetings. (But you you will need your glasses to read it.)

What is Rule Number Five?

HAVE FUN!

(Which was added during the presidency of Woo-Woo you know who, Brenda K. Tipton, temporarily sheltering in place at her winter palace in Okeechobee, Fla.)

ROTARACT CLUB CHANGES
It's a new era for Rotaract Clubs!
If you consider yourself a young adult age 18 or older, read on!

In the May issue of The Rotarian magazine, which landed in your mailbox recently, there is a great article about exciting changes for Rotaract membership starting 12:01 am June 30. See pp. 47-53.

Rotaract Clubs bring together people ages 18-30 to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. From big cities to rural villages, Rotaract is changing communities like yours

The Elevate Rotaract Task Force made these recommendations:

No longer is there an upper age limit of 30. You can be a young adult, as you choose to identify yourself, at any age.

A new Rotaract Club can form without sponsorship of a Rotary Club.

Rotaractors are encouraged to serve on District and Rotary International committees.

They can subscribe to a digital edition of The Rotarian.

You can receive free public speaking and leadership instruction because of an alliance with Toastmasters International

Dues will be $8 a year for community-based club and $5 for university-based Rotaract Clubs.

How does this help Rotary Clubs like Livingston Sunrise? In a few words, more energy and engagement in Rotary, with community service and fun being two hallmarks of this group. Rotaract Club members also can join a local Rotary Club, and have dual membership.

ROTARIANS in ACTION this week

Many of you are helping others in our community...throughout the state...and even internationally. Let us know! And we need pictures, lots of pictures (so I don't have to write another 1,000 words).

For example, the Livingston County Sheriff's Department has been delivering groceries and making prescription medicine runs for the elderly and those who are permanently homebound.

If your group or organization has a need, especially an URGENT one, please let Jamie Nicholson know and she will coordinate a response. Thank you!

Please send photos of ROTARIANS in ACTION to MLenninger@gmail.com
