Do NOT show up at the Livingston County Jail this week.
Topic: Sara Barnwell's Zoom Meeting (LSRC Oct. 30 Meetup)
Time: Oct. 30, 2020 07:15 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Join Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club Zoom Meeting
https://cleary.zoom.us/j/94197234774
As with any regular meeting, it is open to members and visitors, so if you have someone you think can benefit, please forward this information to them so they can participate. And remember, this is a LIVE ZOOM meeting. Anything you say may be used against you... isn't that right, FINE SHERIFF?

The ZOOM meetup itself will start at 7:30am. However, if it is your first time at this, our Host hopefully will have the meeting open at 7:15am. Use this time to chit-chat, catch up and finish your caffeinated beverage of choice.

HERE are some tips I found from another RI user of ZOOM; and following are a few of Sara's expert tips.

And here are 2 tips from Jim Gilmore:

    1. Remember it is a video conference...put on a robe, and...
    2. Make sure you are muted when not speaking (our host will help with this)...we don't want to hear you chewing your breakfast.

    Jennifer Tate - Guest Speaker
Why are we meeting virtually, instead of in-person? President Pattie Courtney explains:
With temps dropping and Covid cases rising, we just gotta do it guys.
A huge thanks to Sheriff Murphy and the jailhouse for making room for us the last couple of months.  And thanks for everyone's patience and help as we are learning to navigate through the weirdness.   As always, you are true Rotarians with a "get it done" attitude.  You rock!
Rest assured we are making some positive strides in finding some new digs for when we get the green light on meeting in person again.  We'll keep you posted on that

Our virtual speaker on ZOOM this Friday, Oct. 30 is Jennifer Tate speaking on the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services program, Pathways to Potential.

ALL SHE WANTS TO DO IS DANCE!
Thanks to the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club for your support of The Dance Project, an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to changing the culture by promoting positive dancing.  We are reaching teens WORLDWIDE with practices and principles that encourage leadership, self-confidence and respect. Our message is POWERFUL, so that students can repel unwanted advances at their school dances AND in life.

The Masquerade Dance, our first dance of the season, takes place this Saturday, Oct. 31st. Numerous volunteers are needed to ensure that this community event is as SAFE as possible for area teens. Two - three hour service opportunities ON LOCATION in Brighton are available between 4:00 and 11:00 pm, Saturday, Oct. 31st.

All the information about the event, and required forms can be found on the event webpage. Thank you for your time, energy and effort in support of The Dance Project.

WHO COULD USE A TROPICAL VACATION RIGHT NOW?
A reminder that Midnight In The Tropicsour annual fund-raiser for 2021, is just 4 months away.  John Scotta and DeVonna Snowden need your help.  Save the date:  Saturday March 13, 2021 at Crystal Gardens. It's not too early to start lining up sponsorships and items for the auctions.
