This Week's Guest Speaker(s)
Sue Spangler will talk about her work with Police Dogs, Service Animals, Pet Cremation and introduce us to the Michigan War Dog Memorial in South Lyon.

Were you aware that Michigan has maintained a police dog and war dog memorial in South Lyon since 1936?  Did you know that military dogs are not allowed to be buried in our National Cemetaries.?  The MWDM is now their Arlington National Cemetaey here in Michigan. As a courtesy, Eternal Pet Cremations has provided cremation services at no charge to all Michigan police dogs, military war dogs and service animals who pass away.

Sue Spangler is the marketing & events manager for Eternal Pet Cremation. After graduating from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, she starter her varied career as Director of Parks and Recreation in Palos Height, Illinois. She will inform and educate us about the Michigan War Dog Memorial, and briefly describe what is involved in pet cremation.

If you have questions during the presentation, please direct them by text (810-986-9320) or chat to JMikeL on Friday.

PRESIDENT's NIGHT 6/25/2020
Chicken or Ribs? Drive-thru dinner or in-person dining?
LSRC President Jim Gilmore invites you and a guest to participate in this year's celebration of everything Rotary for the year 2019-2020. Food, fun, festivities and awards will happen.
The event is Thursday June 25, 6-9 pm at the Lazy J Ranch in Millford.   [Note there is NOT a regular Rotary meeting on FRIDAY June 26, thank goodness!]

There are THREE ways to participate from least funnest to the most fun.
1.  Stay home!  Watch the festivities on a LIVE ZOOM Broadcast.
2. Drive thru!  If you can't attend, or you don't feel up to mixing and mingling, you can pick up your supper, dessert and adult beverages as well as any awards you may have won, member gift, brochure and printed program.
3.  Attend in Person!  Tables of four will be set, appropriately spaced apart, and the serving staff are well coached on proper protocols for avoiding the spread of CoViD-19. There will be other changes appropriate to food and health safety the staff will follow. And a cool summer breeze will flow through the open barn doors.

However, you MUST register online for options 2 & 3 by TODAY,  Friday June 19. Register by clicking this link imbedded in this sentence.
