Due to Covid 19, meetings are NOT being held at the Bennett Center. They are currently conducted via Zoom and/or in public spaces where we can socially distance. Please watch our Facebook page for weekly updates as to location/platform. Thank you!
As with any regular meeting, it is open to members and visitors, so if you have someone you think can benefit, please forward this information to them so they can participate. And remember, this is a LIVE ZOOM meeting. And it may be simulcast on our Facebook Live page for those of you who don't like ZOOMING.
The meeting opens at 7:15am. Use this time to chit-chat, catch up and finish your caffeinated beverage of choice.
"It will be a very full agenda this week and I hope you'll make a point of joining us. We need your vote, your smile and energy. Thanks for all you do and for making each other's lives and our world a little brighter."wrote Pattie Courtney.
Our president continues: "Our Club Annual Meeting will comprise a combination of business and hopefully a little fun. We will be voting on the new 2021-22 Board slate as well as hearing from some of our leadership with updates on past and any future activity for the club.
"We also will be presenting the monthly Golden Roty Award to one well-deserving club member. I love this time. I'm still accepting nominations until the 19th. Please be thorough in your nomination. Sell me!
If time allows, we'll have a few Happy Dollars. I'd love to hear from some of you about howthepandemichasaffectedyouinapositiveway. Please keep your comments brief ok? Thanks for your cooperation on that."

HELP LCCC DISTRIBUTE CHRISTMAS BLESSING BASKETS
Over the past couple of years, a number of LSRC Club Members have assisted Livingston County Catholic Charities to deliver food and gifts to low-income and homebound senior citizens. Last year the project assisted more than 160 seniors. The Christmas Blessing Project will continue this year, though with some adjustments to maintain the safety of the volunteers and the recipients.
We are in need of volunteers who can deliver the food and gifts on December 10 and 11. You only need to volunteer on one day. If you can assist, contact Katie Holmes at: katie@livingstoncatholiccharities.org Thank you,
Thank you for being a part of Rotary! We hope you enjoy connecting with other leaders, exchanging ideas, and taking action with us.

WE WANT...YOUR BLOOD!
It has been many years since a Livingston County Rotary Club Blood Drive Challenge has been held in memory of Doris Longfellow, a Brighton Rotarian and businesswoman. So in 2021, we are issuing the challenge again to all area Rotary Clubs. Tentatively, we are looking at Friday, Jan. 8th, 2021 or Jan. 20 or 21 at the Brighton Community Center. I will serve as Club liaison to the Red Cross and am looking for a co-chairperson in our club to learn how to run a great blood drive. It is a one-time annual commitment. Who wants to help?
Donating blood is easy, takes about an hour and can save up to three lives with your life-saving fluids. You must weigh at least 115 lbs., be in general good health and be at least 16 years old. If you take any prescription meds other than blood thinners, you may be eligible to give blood! Call 1-866-236-3276 anytime 24/7 and ask the nice nurse on the telephone if you can donate. Or click here: https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/how-to-donate/eligibility-requirements.html The last date you could have donated whole blood before doing so again January 8th was Friday, Nov. 13th.
On the line is a beautiful hand-blown glass trophy that goes to the club that has the highest percentage of presenting donors, based on their club membership numbers. Invite family, friends and co-workers. Appointments are REQUIRED during CoViD pandemic. Walk-ins will not be allowed in the building. Contact me at (810) 986-9320 with a call or text or email me at MLenninger@gmail.com Remember: Give 'til it spurts! -jml
