Every month, board members of the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Foundation award mini-grants to various local charitable organizations. In January the group voted to award $1,500 to the Livingston County Truancy Task Force so they could expand the “Pathways to Potential” Project (P2P) into Pinckney elementary schools. This Pathways "2" Potential Project places P2P workers in each school to help decrease the overall truancy rate and support students and their families in five target areas: Attendance, Health, Safety, Education, and Self Sufficiency. For more information on the P2P Project, please see Dianne McCormick or Rebecka Graham (M-36 Rotary Club). All club members are invited to attend any, or all, of the upcoming board meetings of the Foundation. The next meeting will be Monday, Feb. 20 at 7:30 am at the IHOP in Brighton. |
