Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club  Meeting for 11/4/2022
Click on the link above (or at the bottom) to see the WHOLE BULLETIN!
(You are missing half of the news if you don't.)
We no longer meet via ZOOM so you must come in person. Enjoy food, fellowship and FUN!
  • Friday, November 11th, is Veteran's Day, and we are looking for some ideas to make this our theme for the morning and honor Veterans.  You saw jml's idea in the Bulletin - wear red, white, and blue or your military uniform. [I am not in charge. I just am your humble friendly neighborhood newsletter editor.] Send YOUR ideas to Connie Conklin, cccconk12@aol.com
Have another wonderful week!

There should be about $160+ in the 50/50 drawing, I guess; 43 cards, if you're counting.  Bring your money; exact change is appreciated! $5 for three tickets or $2 each. All proceeds go toward the the festivities for the 2023 President's Night!
THIS WEEK'S MEETING...
Is all about Midnight in the Tropics our annual fund-raiser for local charities and our own LSRC Foundation. ALL HANDS ON DECK! We have about three months to plan and execute this party. Well, not KILL the party, but actually plan and solicit funds. Y'all come. This is the "funnest" event of the year! And even though MITT does not extend until the midnight hour, you can for at least one night envision yourself in a tropical paradise.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST WINNER
Who won the Halloween Costume Contest last Friday? I'll give you a hint. He (or she) is pictured below. It should be obvious at first glance...

Give up? It's good ol' Charlie Brown of Peanuts and Charles Schultz fame! That's right, on the far right (how appropriate) is Mike Murphy, who never fails to put on funny clothing just to get a good laugh. Did they disband Bras for a Cause?
VOLUNTEER NEXT YEAR AT THE DETROIT MARATHON
Several District 6380 members braved the cold and very early morning hours and volunteered at the 2022 Rotary At The Detroit Free Press Marathon Fluid Station. The first group of runners passed through our fluid station around 8 am and they the vibrant volunteered, cheered and encouraged the runners, passing Gatorade & water. Lake Orion Sunrise Club Rotarian Julie Barnes Maurer ,ultra marathon runner  was the key organizer of all fluid stations and partnered us up with Black Girls on the Run!  What a fun morning! See you there next year on Oct. 14th & 15th 2023.
