However, wes hould still maintain a six foot distance with people facing each other (or back-to-back) just to be safe. You can keep 1-2' between chairs. Bring a chair.

Bring your favorite beverage.

Bring bagels, donuts, fruit or snack bars to share if you wish.

Bring yourself and a guest... or two!

A MESSAGE FROM PATTIE COURTNEY
June has arrived and to some, it's the unofficial first day of summer. I hope your long weekend was refreshing to you and yours and you were able to remember and honor the memory of our men and women who sacrificed for our many freedoms.

We will be meeting once again at the Jailhouse Garage this Friday. But I'm happy to say our days are numbered there.  With the changing mask and social mandates we will be meeting at our new home at LESA very shortly. We'll keep you posted on that.

This Friday, Steve Gronow presents Laurie Bourbonais, with Love, INC. She is Executive Director of Love INC of the Greater Livingston Area, and will provide an overview of their organization.   Please join us in welcoming Laurie.

REMINDER!! PRESIDENT’S NIGHT!!  July 1st.  Sign up!  Register at livingstonsunriserotary.org.  Log in and sign up! [Bring a guest. This is a celebration with food, drink, fellowship and recognition. A fun night for all. And it's FREE.]

REMINDER:  Board meeting is June 8th at LESA at 7:30.  Breakfast will be provided.

GIVE BLOOD, SAVE LIVES in BRIGHTON JUNE 30th
There still is a critical shortage of all types of blood across the USA, but especially in types O-, A-, O+ and B-.  You should schedule a whole blood donation about every 3 months, or 3,000 miles, especially during the summer and around major holidays. Double Red Donors can give up to 4x a year.
Versiti has schedules another Community Blood Drive for Rotarians and their friends and family on Wednesday, June 30th at the Brighton Light House, 142 Brighton Lake Road, just off Grand River, 12:30 - 7 pm. Free Summer of Peace T-shirts!
Or text/call J. Michael Lenninger at (810) 986-9320

THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND, THIS LAND IS MY LAND!
Join Jim Watters and the extended Rotary Family any Saturday morning at 9 o'clock (or earlier!) to help plant, weed and feed!  On the SW corner of Brighton NC Machine at 7300 Whitmore Lake Rd, Brighton, MI 48116.

Now that the threat of FROST has passed [Or has it? Let me check the Farmer's Almanac. Yeah, we're safe!] Plant some delicious peppers, corn, tomatoes, onions, garlic, leeks, cabbage and our favorite, asparagus. [Please no zucchini. We have way too much zucchini every year. The kids won't eat it even if you grind it up into the brownie mix. "Mom, what's this green stuff in my brownie?!"] All Gleaner's asks is that you donate 10% of your harvest to the fresh produce food bank.
