I know we are coming right off of MITT so I apologize for asking this of everyone but I thought to reach out. I was informed of a young family in our community who have three children 3 and under, that are struggling to put food on the table for their children.
Their van broke down and took all the money in their savings. The dad is making minimum wage at Meijer, so if anyone would be willing to get a Meijer gift card and bring it to my office or to Rotary on Friday I am trying to get a stack to take to the family. This way the cards will go farther for them since they get a discount at Meijer.
If you can't make it to the store and would like to make a money donation I will put it with mine and go and get the cards for them!
Thanks a ton! Love you all deeply! Here is my number and you can call or text me! I can pick them up too! 517-528-7067
Xoxo

"A life lived in service towards others who can never repay you is the only life worth living."
What a MITT!!! You are all awesome!!! Everyone contributes in some way, which is why it works. But our Champions this year made it spectacular - Linda Carey & John Scotta - take a bow! And their team captains: Michael O'Brian, Steve Gronow, Anne Rennie, Dianne McCormick, Jenny Nash, Kate Lawrence, Betsy Hundley, Jessica Grima - and all their helpers. It was AMAZING.
Meeting This Week:
I hope to capture a little feedback at this week's Club meeting. I don't want to get buried in the weeds here, but merely capture high-level thoughts, especially about the new stuff while it is fresh in our minds. Word has it we brought in $250,000 - the most ever raised at Midnight in the Tropics.
We will also formally welcome Mitch and Meg into the Club. Inductions - my favorite! Especially these two individuals who are already part of us.

ATTEND UNITED WAY'S SPIRIT of the COMMUNITY ANNUAL MEETING
It's Livingston County United Way’s Annual “Spirit of the Community” Event!
Livingston County United Way is excited to share that they will be celebrating the Spirit of the Community Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 8th at Crystal Gardens.
Last year we had over 200 participants attend and enjoy a fun celebration with our community over breakfast. We hope you can all join us again this year. If you have attended this event in the past, you know it will be fun!
Jeff Blagg, the Pastor at SonRise Church and current United Way Board President, will host this year’s amazing event. Each year we take the time to celebrate Livingston County and how collaboration and partnership strengthens our community. The program will remind us how together we can make change in our hometowns.
The 2022 Volunteer of the Year Awards will be presented to local individuals, businesses and youth organizations for their outstanding service to the community in leadership, compassion, and volunteerism. It is inspiring to see the number of people who went above and beyond during this last year and every year.
This year’s Spirit of the Community Annual Meeting will take place on March 8th from 7:30 am – 9 am at Crystal Gardens. There will be a wonderful breakfast served, so come hungry! Tickets are $25 and the deadline to register is February 28th. Please reserve your spot by registering at www.lcunitedway.org, by calling 810-494-3000 or emailing lcuw@lcunitedway.org.
