It's President's Night. You know all those fines and 50/50 dollars? Well... those are used to celebrate one another at our annual President's Night. All expenses paid for - steak dinner, beer/wine and of course, all your favorite Rotarians!
Event is THIS THURSDAY at the Lazy J Ranch in Milford:
Social hour starts at 6:00pm Dinner starts at 7:00pm Program starts at 8:00pm
7:00 am - The Hungry Duck Run offers a 5k and ½ Marathon course through the Brighton area. Proceeds from the Run fees benefit Hunger Programs in Livingston County. You should register ahead for ease of check-in, but you can also register the morning of the event.
9:30 am - The Duckling Dash allows the kids 10 and under to run for fun up Main Street in Brighton following the Sunrise Rotary Duck on his (or is it her?) 4 wheeler. No registration required and no charge, just show up at the corner of Main Street and St. Paul Street in DT Brighton beginning at 9:15 am.
10:00 am – The Brighton Independence Day Parade steps off from “Old Scranton” at the top of the hill overlooking DT Brighton and proceeds through town and to Brighton High School. The 75+ entries include Veterans, Floats, Music, Classic Cars, Trucks and Tractors, Fire Trucks, Area Businesses, Church Groups, Public Officials and Non Profits. You MUST pre-register to march in the Parade which is organized by the Brighton Area Fire Department.
11:15 Am – The Great Duck Race is a Brighton 4th of July tradition. More than 3,000 numbered rubber ducks are dumped in the Millpond and scurry toward the finish line. If yours is one of the lucky first 3 to arrive, you’ll win $2,500, $1,000 or $500 cash. Proceeds from The Great Duck Race go to fund grants and programs, both local and international of the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation.
Tuesdays in June, join your fellow Rotarians for lunch at Aubree's in Howell. We will gather at noon to talk about a variety of interesting topics!!
Come on out for some great food and time to get to know one another!
