MEETING is LIVE @ JAILHOUSE GARAGE

Join us this Friday at the Livingston County Jailhouse Garage, 150 South Highlander Way in Howell. Socialization begins at 7:15 am. The meeting rings in at 7:30!

Weather will be damp and cold, so dress appropriately. Temps will be in the mid-40s with a greater than 50% chance of it raining; winds out of  the ENE at about 12 mph.

Rules... if you have been fully vaccinated, the governor says you do NOT need to wear a face covering because technically with both doors open, we are considered an outside meeting. However, we still must maintain a six foot distance with people facing each other (or back-to-back) just to be safe. You can keep 1-2' between chairs.

Bring a chair.

Bring your favorite beverage.

Bring bagels, donuts, fruit or snack bars to share if you wish.

Bring yourself and a guest!

GREETERS - MAY 28
Greeters should arrive no later than 7:15 pm and assist members with name badges, welcoming guests and identifying visiting Rotarians.

A MESSAGE FROM PATTIE COURTNEY
Hello all!
We're rounding out May already. Can you believe it?
Our Rotary year is rounding out too.  July 1st marks a new year for us Rotarians.  My year as club president will end and Jamie Nicholson will step up.  She's gearing up and her energy and creativity will lead us into a new year, hopefully an unmasked, uninhibited and freely able to meet up year.  I am so ready and I know you are too.
July 1st also marks the date of our President’s Night Celebration.   I will be passing the torch, gavel and club charter on.  We will enjoy an evening of good food, laughs and we'll hand out a few awards.  A huge thank you to President Nominee Sheriff Mike Murphy for putting things together for this. Mark your calendars!
This Friday we will hear from our incoming District Governor, our own member Brenda "Woo Woo" Tipton.  Did you know we're a part of a bigger family called District 6380?  Our District of 50+ clubs is a part of the even larger Rotary family of 535 Districts around the world.  Rotary is everywhere!  Brenda will share a little about herself and your awesome district.  Looking forward Brenda "Woo Woo"!
I'm so excited to say that we will once again be celebrating the 4th of July in downtown Brighton!  Livingston Sunrise has always "owned the day" but we now have some great help from the Brighton Area Fire Authority.  Our own member, Chief Mike O'Brian is heading up the preparations for the annual 4th of July parade.  Participant applications can be found at
I hear our club is planning a float too!  You can help out.  Contact John Scotta.   In addition, we will be resuming the Hungry Duck Run as well as the Duckling Dash.  Keep your ears open for more info.
It's Golden Roty Friday!  Who will it be? Hmmm...
Lots of doings!  It's going to be a great summer!  See you at the Jailhouse garage this Friday,  7:15 a.m.  150 SHighlander Way,  Howell.  Bring a chair and wallets.  Murph says we're up to all beef hot dogs for President’s Night.  I think we could get it to brats this week. What do you think?  Let's do it!
See you then!

ROTARIANS HELP PINCKNEY FAMILY
Habitat for Humanity provided a service project opportunity to help out a Pinckney community member in need.  Members of the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club joined with Howell and Brighton Rotary for service above self with Habitat for Humanity. Thursday, May 21st, 2021 found club members hard at work in Pinckney from 10am - 4pm in demolition, re-build, maintenance, cleaning, gardening and more. With the blessing of the homeowner, we were able to put in a new front porch, get a panel of fencing up for privacy, tackle some serious gardening and clean up the patio. It was a productive day giving time & talent to those in need.
