Join us for tasty BREAKFAST treats, POSITIVE energy and HEARTS of service! Club business starts promptly at 7:30 am, with pledges, announcements, Fine Sheriff duties and HAPPY DOLLARS. A weekly talk ENRICHING our lives takes us to 8:30am.
My heart (and mind) were not in to editing and distributing the newsletter this week. I have nothing new to add to what we distributed last week, except for my apologies if I have offended you with what I have written. I also have been recuperating all this week with a mysterious illness that started in my throat and then moved on to my lungs. No I haven't had a CoViD-19 test yet, but it's that or a bad cold.
Next week I hope to attack the newsletter sooner - with your help. If you are on a committee, write me an update of just 2-3 paragraphs. Take a photo of some on the people on your committee. Send that via email to MLenninger@gmail.com with at least the word "Rotary" in the subject line. I can sort my mail that way.
Adding headache to heartache, my cell phone died last night and won't reboot. So I have to wait until next Monday to get a replacement. So no texting! Call me at (810) 225-9668 if you wish.
I do enjoy editing and writing this Bulletin, but I also would like to train a second person so that in the event I am incapacitated the news can be printed. Any volunteers?

We meet at noon at Coratti's Pizzeria in Howell. Plenty of free parking, but not much out back.
You must try their delicious sorbetto and gelato, made with the Cadillac of all gelato machines, with training in Italy! It's not on the menu. Gotta ask for a taste.
Invite your extended Rotary Family [aka spouses], friends or co-workers. This also is a great way to introduce them to our club and what makes LSRC so special! There simply isn't enough time at our weekly meetings to get to know one another better. SO, EACH ONE BRING ONE.

GLEANERS' CUPBOARDS ARE BARE
Gleaners needs us to help restock the personal care items they give to needy people and families. Tucked away in your bathroom closet, you must have some sample sizes of deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving cream, little bars of soap, hand cream, shaving cream... you know, the stuff you'd pick up at hotels when you used to travel PRE CoViD-19. I don't know about you, but since I bought a Sonic toothbrush, I've been accumulating a ton free toothbrushes from my dentist for the last 10 years. Bring those!
If YOUR cupboard is bare, you also can pick up some sample sizes at your local grocery store, Meijers, CVS or Walgreens. Bring them to Friday's meeting and Terry Defina will collect them and give them to Gleaners.
p.s. Bring empty egg cartons! They receive eggs in bulk, but need to put them in protective containers.
