⭐️WEEKLY WORD from JAMIE N.⭐️
Our. Newest. Members.
We have such an AMAZING array of new members since July 1st, 2021.  Let's take a minute to celebrate them all:
GINA, JOHN, STEVE, CHAD, CAROLYN, TAYLOR, & ANDREA!!  Already actively involved in the club in different ways, these seven servants are INVESTED in the community.

It is INSPIRING to see them engage with Friday morning program speakers, jump in to help with service projects, take on responsibilities and leadership roles, and immerse themselves in the county as agents of POSITIVE CHANGE.  Wow! Take some time to get to know them better, and BE ENRICHED.
 ...
We work together. We change lives. We daily put on service above self.

Yours truly,
Jamie

20 QUESTIONS WITH BRENDA TIPTON

BrendaK Tipton is a past-president of the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club and is the current Governor of Rotary District 6380. Her reign... uh, rule... er...TERM ends June 30th. We thought we would ask her some of the questions you might ask. This will be a multi-part article over the next few weeks.

16. Tell us about what you do for a living and about your family or pets.
For over 25+ years I’ve been in the IT world.

I am a Corporate IT Professional and run the AT&T Enterprise 24x7 Operational Department that is almost the largest Network Attached Storage infrastructure in the world.I started my career when very, very few women were in IT and the world didn’t have much knowledge of a computer let alone the internet. My average work week spans 50-60+ hours and has been for quite some time and my average Rotary obligations are at least 20-30 or more.

I firmly believe that time management is key. I am a very early riser and it is then that I get more done by keeping my mind and body in good shape by going to my boxing workout every morning. My nickname there is Brenda Balboa not BrendaK “WooWoo”. I also spend the morning clearing my Rotary and Corporate inbox and preparing for the day.

Each day to me is a gift and this opportunity will never come again to lead this District as well as lead my corporate company and I for one will not let this opportunity pass. I truly believe that no matter what you will always have time for what you love. I do believe that I’ve created a balance through time management to embrace each day in order to Excite, Engage and most of all HAVE Fun!!

I am forever thankful and enjoy lake living, my winter home in Florida [near Lake Okechobbee in South Florida], early morning boxing, yoga, boating, and am very thankful and blessed for my family, my partner Jill of well over 20+ years and those who are close. I also spend time volunteering at numerous organizations one of which is a Collie “Lassie” Dog Rescue. We have THREE adopted rescue collies that keep our family very busy!

ROTARIANS in ACTION JUNE 2022
THANK YOU FOR DONATING
Each of you received an email thanking your for you donation to the International Rotary Foundation. Don't remember giving? That's because our CLUB donated money in YOUR NAME to this worthy cause. Look and read about how your donations are helping others around the world. Be proud!

THE FOUR OBJECTIVES of ROTARY INT'L
We all know THE FOUR-WAY TEST. But who knows what are the Four Objectives of Rotary?
  • FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
  • SECOND: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
  • THIRD: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
  • FOURTH: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
What are the FIVE Avenues of Service?

We channel our commitment to service at home and abroad through five Avenues of Service, which are the foundation of club activity.

Who can think of a specific example of how you, or any Rotarian, has applied the ideal of service in your/their personal, business or community life? First person to whisper an an example to me (or email MLenninger@gmail.com) will receive a MYSTERY GIFT!
