Join us for tasty BREAKFAST treats, POSITIVE energy and HEARTS of service! Club business starts promptly at 7:30 am, with pledges, announcements, Fine Sheriff duties and HAPPY DOLLARS. A weekly talk ENRICHING our lives takes us to 8:30am.
The meeting rings in promptly at 7:30. Late? Cough up a buck to the Fine Sheriff. Please help set up and help tear down. Bring someone to breakfast as a guest. Pay Madam Treasurer only $5. Do NOT pass Go, do NOT collect $150.
BRING at least $5 for the 50/50 DRAWING. (The POT is at $320+ and growing... there are about 25 cards are left.) Exact change is appreciated! You have a similar chance of picking the Ace of Hearts - a one in 25 chance this week. Play strategically!
If you cannot make it to a meeting in person, please join us via ZOOM and keep your VIDEO camera on so we can see your smiling face!
If you do show up, remember the CDC has recommended that EVERYONE wear a mask INDOORS, even if you have had all your shots. Masks are NOT required by Rotary Club members and their guests.

CLUB SOCIAL- Our Costume Contest & Halloween Jeopardy with Jessica!
LSRC members enjoyed a fun meetup on October 29th. Numerous costumes covering the spectrum were on hand. Gov. Brenda T. showed up in a PENGUIN costume, Terri D. dressed up as our club president (including a crutch and the aircast on her leg), and Dianne M. and her sweet dog (Cory?) were the Grinch and his loyal dog, Max. Jessica G. KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK facilitated her fun version of Jeopardy! (she'd never played the game...), while Betsy H. (our county clerk) executed the game's score-keeping with serious accuracy!

Get to know your fellow Rotarians better. Join us this coming TUESDAY in Howell for stimulating conversation, tidbits of inside information, good food [and drink, but who's judging?] fun and fellowship outside our regular Friday meetings. It's Tuesday Nov. 16th, at noon, at Corraiti's Pizzeria and Bocce Ball.
Warmest Regards, Tom Archer
p.s. For those who arrive EARLY, please reserve a couple of tables for about 8 people. If the patio is warm, sit on the back bench.
Invite your extended Rotary Family (aka spouses), friends or co-workers. This also is a great way to introduce them to our club and what makes LSRC so special! There simply isn't enough time at our weekly meetings to get to know one another better. SO, EACH ONE BRING ONE.
As part of our commitment to provide you with the best membership experience possible, we invite you to participate in the 2021 Rotary All-Member Survey. Your responses will help us learn what you like about being a Rotary member and how we can make your membership experience even better.
To begin the survey, click the link in the email you received Nov. 8th. It will take 15 to 20 minutes to complete and will be open until 10 December 2021.
Only one survey can be submitted using the link, so please do not forward or share this email. If you any have questions, contact us at surveys@rotary.org.
Sincerely,
Shekhar Mehta Shekhar Mehta Rotary International President, 2021-22

BRING FOOD AND SMALL TURKEYS NOV 19th
Heads up, people, buy an extra turkey (small) if you are shopping for Thanksgiving. Meijer has their store brand turkey on sale for 33 cents per pound.
Our mission, should you accept it, is to support the Gleaners Food Warehouse here in Livingston County at our Nov. 19th meet-up. Gleaners specifically seeks canned vegetables, canned soup and turkeys. [If all they have are hefty 20-pounders, ask the butcher to slice it in half!]
You might be able to find other deals before the 19th, but this is a good opportunity.
Next time you need to go shopping for the LSRC, call Terri DeFina, who pointed out this opportunity!
Thank to four LSRC members who helped move Torch 180's storage unit.
Not pictured to the left are Mike Murphy and Jim Watters. From left to right, that's Terri Defina, Rhonda Callahan (the Mobile Torch co-founder) and Santa... I mean John Scotta.
They completed their mission in under two hours. Many hands, people!
[Torch 180 is a sister organization to The Mobile Torch, a food truck that feeds hungry, needy people for free!]
HELP SUPPORT GLEANERS, NON-PROFITS ON NOV 19th
Mark Robinson fills us in on what the Nov. 19th meeting is all about:
"Team Give a Hoot" and the Membership Committee have teamed up to include some fun and community contribution for our November 19th Member Meeting.
First, our members who are directly involved with non-profit or government service delivery will take 1-2 minutes to provide us with an update of each respective organization. We strongly encourage member attendance to support these groups that contribute to the well-being of our local community.
Second, we ask each attending member to bring a food item(s) to share with our localGleaners Community Food Bank. Gleaners is specifically asking for: canned vegetables, canned soup and small frozen turkeys. Rob Johnson has offered to deliver the donated items to Gleaners on the same day. Maybe our generosity will be so great that one or more of us will need to assist him.
November 19th will be a good day for us to learn about several organizations and to provide direct assistance to one of them. If you would like to speak about your organization, please let President Jamie, Jessica Grima or myself know so that we can plan the program and the available speaking time.
In advance, I say THANK YOU for your participation and your generosity.
Mark
