Topic: Pattie Courtney's Zoom Meeting
Time: Nov 13, 2020 07:15 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85013476845?pwd=ekZmcDFNYmtadVFPWlV0ckxOVHhnQT09 Meeting ID: 850 1347 6845 Passcode: 120599
"I've been thinking a lot about our current circumstances with the pandemic.  Even though things are different and at times much more challenging, I'm also extremely grateful for what we do have in the form of technology. Twenty years ago, this wouldn't have been an option for us.

"True, Zooming is not our favorite thing to do, but at least we have it and we still get to see each other every week. I hope more of you will take this opportunity to sign in with us and continue to move forward as a club into the great unknown! After all, we are Livingston Sunrise and together we can still brighten one and other's lives and make the world a better place.  Let's get creative!"  --Pattie Courtney, president LSRC

As with any regular meeting, it is open to members and visitors, so if you have someone you think can benefit, please forward this information to them so they can participate. And remember, this is a LIVE ZOOM meeting. Anything you say can and WILL be used against you... isn't that right, FINE SHERIFF?

The ZOOM meetup itself will start at 7:30am. However, if it is your first time at this, our Host hopefully will have the meeting open at 7:15am. Use this time to chit-chat, catch up and finish your caffeinated beverage of choice.

JOHN R. SCOTTA - my Rotary Journey
Please welcome LSRC Member John R. Scotta as he shares his personal story with us.  John has been a member of our club since January 2019 and currently serves as Director of Service Projects. "John has impressed us all with his ability to tackle anything thrown at him and he does so with a smile and positive attitude.   We truly look forward to hearing all about you John!" wrote Pattie Courtney.

John lives in Howell with his wife Theresa and is a Commercial Account Executive at Acrisure Cobb-Hall Insurance. He has 22 years' experience in this industry.

As John writes on his Linked-In page:  Acrisure LLC is the parent company dba Cobb-Hall Insurance.

"Acrisure is 4th largest insurance brokerage in the nation.

"What does that mean to your operation?
"Our network of Acrisure Agency Partners has the expertise and experience to help you manage and overcome your largest and most complex risk and insurance challenges. With industry specific specialties and powerful program development capabilities, experience does make a difference.

"The value of our national network is the local presence of our agencies. Acrisure Agency Partners are able to provide the local, personal level of service that you deserve with the added power of deep industry expertise available to each and every client. The concept of national reach + local presence is not just an ideal; it’s who and what Acrisure is.

"The entrepreneurial spirit is a core element of Acrisure. Creating exceptional, often creative, results for our clients is what we do. These types of solutions only come from results driven entrepreneurs. That drive, that passion for excellence is what allows us to perform at the levels we do, everyday, for our clients."

RING THE BELL FOR SALVATION ARMY ON DECEMBER 5TH
Help ring in the Holiday Season by volunteering to ring a bell and collect money for the Salvation Army. Now more than ever there is a great need to fill the kettles. The holiday season is shorter than normal (only 4 weeks to collect before Christmas). Join LSRC for a two hour shift on Saturday, Dec. 5th from 9-5 pm.

PARTICIPATE IN THE ROTARY CENSUS PROJECT
Thank you for being a part of Rotary! We hope you enjoy connecting with other leaders, exchanging ideas, and taking action with us.

As part of our commitment to providing you with the best Rotary experience possible, we invite you to participate in the 2020 Rotary Member Census. Your responses will help Rotary make important decisions about our organization and the Rotary club experience. The survey should take less than 15 minutes to complete and will be open until 18 December 2020.

To begin the survey, click the link below. You can use the link to return to the survey if you need to leave at any point. Only one survey can be submitted using the link, so please don’t forward or share this email. By clicking the link, you consent to participating in the 2020 Rotary Member Census.

Questions about the survey? Write to surveys@rotary.org.
Questions about your membership?    Contact us.
--Sincerely, John Hewko, Rotary International General Secretary

HELP LCCC DISTRIBUTE CHRISTMAS BLESSING BASKETS
Over the past couple of years, a number of LSRC Club Members have assisted Livingston County Catholic Charities to deliver food and gifts to low-income and homebound senior citizens.  Last year the project assisted more than 160 seniors.  The Christmas Blessing Project will continue this year, though with some adjustments to maintain the safety of the volunteers and the recipients.
We are in need of volunteers who can deliver the food and gifts on December 10 and 11.  You only need to volunteer on one day.  If you can assist, contact Katie Holmes at:  katie@livingstoncatholiccharities.org

Thank you,
