There will be NO speaker, per se, this week. [Per Se is a legal term that means "it is what it is"]  So don your gay apparel and be prepared to share your favorites (or funny) holiday memories!

Dear LSRC Members:

It's about a week out from Christmas and the hope of better things to come for the New Year!  [It can't get much worse, can it? Shoot, I just jinxed 2021!] Without question, it has been a most "interesting" year. But even a pandemic can't halt the goodness in the heart of a Rotarian.  I've seen that evidenced in so many of you. Thank you for continuing to serve, connect and be a light in our communities. You rock!

During this Friday's meeting we will be mixing things up a bit. In lieu of a speaker ["In lieu of" is a Latin means that means we didn't plan anything.] we will be sharing some of  our favorite holiday memories. These can be from your childhood, with your own children and family or maybe a special holiday party or service project.

We're truly excited to hear your stories. So be thinking about that. ALSO, don your fun and favorite holiday wear! Ugly/fun sweaters, head gear, socks [be prepared to show 'em off!] holiday mug etc. are in order!  You'll also have an opportunity to share your Happy Hollars during this time.  George may have a few fines to throw at you as well.

We also will be presenting the Golden Roty Award!  I'm still taking nominations for that. Who's your hero, or someone you want to thank or give kudos to?  Let me know why you're nominating that person. Sell me!  They will not only receive the coveted Golden Roty Award, but a special gift chosen just for them!

It should be a fun and special time together. I hope you’ll ll  join us! Heck, invite your friends [kids, dogs, cats, co-workers and neighbors] to the party!!! See you bright and early on Friday!  --Pattie Courtney, LSRC President
