"Sorry to inform the many who wanted to participate this weekend at the Victory Garden, that the project has been postponed until October:(
Jim Watters was contacted by the director of the garden and she said there isn't enough work for us to do this Saturday.
I'm really bummed because we had such a great turnout and response to this. We had almost 20 members who were going to attend.
So kudos to all who were ready to work but the event again has been postponed.
Jim and I will keep you updated with the reschedule date."
Join LSRC members & friends to help harvest & weed at the Gleaner's Community Victory Garden on the SW corner of Brighton NC Machine. Jim Watters sent a request for a LSRC work day, and said he's bringing coffe and donuts (maybe even some bran muffins??). We will need to hear from everyone who wants to participate by NOON- Aug 20th so we can let the Victory Garden director know how many people to expect.
